ARASH RADPOUR
Arash Radpour is an artist born in Tehran, Iran in 1976. At the age of four he moved with his parents to Rome, where he grew up and completed his studies in cinematography at the Rossellini State Institute in 1995. Since 2005 he has been engaged in art research, visible in his extremely sophisticated use of lights, his choice of subjects as well as his image compositions charged by supernatural, metaphysical forces. Although his photographs represent common situations, he is able to alter them, creating a parallel reality and, ultimately, attracting the viewer in a web of disorientation, desire and wonder. His works have been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, at Victoria Memorial Hall of Kolkata and the Modern Art Museum of New Delhi, the MAMBA of Buenos Aires, The Hunting Lodge of Stupinigi Estate in Turin and the Andersen Museum, the Napoleonic Museum, the MAXXI and the MACRO of Rome. He now lives and works in Naples, Italy.
