Born and raised in Mantua, Italy, Giuseppe Gradella is an Italian photographer known for his portraits often characterised by water filtered textures. Gradella has a profound belief in memories and dreams. He’s often inspired by physical places, as well as those that exist in his memory. Where life and visions intertwine in a process of transfiguration and internal re-creation, where time is suspended. His works have been featured several times in Vogue. Although Gradella’s subjects are fashion, architecture and fine art, in his photographs there is a constant juxtaposition between what is actually in front of the camera and what he has retained from his experiences, in a continuous study that becomes an introspective self-critique.
