The Argentinian Peca and the Korean Koh Kisung will transport us into a fantastical and mystical universe with a brand new series of works presented at DCG Rome. Known to use an array of medius including oils, acrylics, and pencils, Peca creates a surreal cosmos populated by mystical, furry wide-eyed creatures on a continuous quest of exploring the universe, while guiding us through the world as our mentors. Though placed in a galaxy beyond human reach, the anthropomorphic creatures of Peca still remain close to earth and reveal some of the artist’s personal experiences, thoughts, and emotions. Born in Seoul in 1985 and currently based in Canada, Koh Kisung is an established artist famous for his oil paintings depicting wildlife and questioning the spiritual bond between and nature, while exploring the intimate relationship of the artist wit nature during his lifetime. Kisung pays tribute to memory and dreams by creating imagery that is suggestive of the metaphysical energies and bonds which can exist between two living creatures, even when interacting from a distance.
