Peppe Tortora is an Italian art, fashion and landscape photographer and director.
He works between Naples, Milan, Paris and New York. Starting his early career as painter, he later approached the art of photography and he is now known for shooting in strictly old school large format. His work has been extensively exhibited both in group shows as well as in solo exhibitions, including at MAXXI Museum in Rome, Auditorium RAI in Turin, Doors Studio and Galerie FLAQ in Paris and JaguarShoesin London in collaboration with VICE magazine. His work has been published alongside Araki, Sarah Moon, Nan Goldin, Robert Polidori, Jean Francoise Lepage and others. Currently, Tortora also teaches photography at IED in Rome. His love for cinema and video art is encouraging him to write his first film.
